October 31st. Woke up to a shock ! – Last night the winds uprooted my plastic greenhouse. The day before the guy rope had broken, but I had the base screwed down into breeze blocks so I'd (fatefully) guessed it would be fine. We've been really happy with this greenhouse since it's been up, with a great crop of tomatoes and chilies. Surprisingly if you keep the door zipped down it retains the moisture really well, and even when it's been hot it hasn't needed watering for several days. The posts have been bent and the cover ripped, so I think it will all need replacing. This time I'll drill small holes and put self tapping screws into the push fit joints, or attach some kind of internal guy rope from the top poles to the base.
